An experiment combining salt and copper crystals. The resulting crystal changes colour from green to brown in sunlight and heat, and returns to green in the shade or after sunset: a living crystal.
Hands-on prototypes made with the materials and tools at hand (ice, paraffin, clay, cement, glue, chalk, thread, gelatin and sugar) to understand how each material behaves, where its limits are, and how it interacts with others.
Born from anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic: real EEG recordings from people with Parkinson's, epilepsy, anxiety, ADHD, autism and depression are sorted in MATLAB, mapped to recognisable frequency ranges in Python and turned into generative images in TouchDesigner, asking whether the differences between minds can be seen.
