Starting from Baku's oil history and landscape, a series of form-finding experiments with tensioned networks of tape, rubber, pipe and fabric on wood and metal frames, exploring how a single line, through midpoints and external forces, grows into a complex, adaptable structure.

Composite shells as a way to build the complex fractal tessellations of traditional Persian architecture. Tensile fabric formwork was combined with cast plaster, latex, lacquer and fibreglass, alternating between digital simulation and physical prototypes towards a final exhibition piece.
